Why Golden Hour

The hour before sunset is when the light on the Central Coast turns warm, soft, and flattering  and it’s when beach portraits go from snapshots to something worth framing. Sessions are scheduled to make the most of that window. Morning sessions are also available for families with young kids who don’t do well late in the day, ask when you book about available times.

Portrait Reels

Still photos tell part of the story — a short reel tells the rest. On the Beach Pismo Beach, Shell Beach, and Avila Beach are the heart of what we do wide open sand, dramatic coastline, and the best natural light on the West Coast at golden hour. Pismo Beach offers a classic open-sand setting with pier backdrops and consistent sunset color. Shell Beach has a more rugged, rocky coastline which great for couples who want something a little more dramatic. Avila Beach is sheltered and warm with a quieter, more intimate feel.

Wineries & Vineyards Winery portrait sessions have become one of the most requested settings on the Central Coast. Golden-hour light filtering through vineyard rows, barrel room textures, and wide open estate grounds create a backdrop that’s romantic, relaxed, and completely different from the beach. Available in San Luis Obispo wine country, Edna Valley, and surrounding areas.

Arroyo Grande Village The historic Village of Arroyo Grande offers charming brick-lined streets, the iconic Swinging Bridge, and the kind of small-town character that makes for surprisingly timeless portrait settings. A great option for couples or families who want something a little more architectural and intimate.
